- European Welding Engineer (EWE);
- B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Metallurgy, Brunel University;
- M.Sc. Degree in Welding Technology, Cranfield Institute of Technology.
Thirty-five years’ experience in responsible technical and managerial positions in the fields of metallurgy, welding engineering and corrosion engineering in the oil, gas, nuclear, infrastructure and associated industries.
Extensive experience in engineering design of projects involving material selection and preparing procedures to define appropriate manufacturing and production routes and test and inspection requirements.
Corrosion engineering/ integrity management work has included preparation and implementation of corrosion management, inspection systems and risk based inspection strategies for pipework, vessels, pipelines and structural steel and technical investigations following in-service failures.
A major part has been welding engineering and implementation of appropriate welding technology to meet specific code and process requirements.
Site work has included overseeing and agreeing contractors manufacturing procedures, mainly welding, and controlling inspection teams.
Work in research and development has involved investigations into detailed aspects of welding technology and metallurgy.
